Integrated Patient
Information provides a coherent approach to ALL your information
needs
Our information meets the needs - and more - of the National Care Standards Commission as defined by the National Minimum Standards.
Exceeding the National Minimum Standards
(Excerpts in inverted commas are from the National Minimum
Standards)
"DH guidance (Department of Health guidance - Reference Guidance
to Consent for Examination or Treatment) on consent to treatment…is
followed."
and
"Clinical procedures are explained to patients so that they
understand the implications of the treatment and any options
available to them, allowing them to give valid consent or
refusal…"
- Our information is fully compliant with this guidance.
- It is comprehensible, dealing explicitly with the condition,
possible treatments/investigations, risks and benefits (including
that of doing nothing), likely additional procedures and
what will happen.
- It fully explains anaesthesia as a procedure where applicable.
- It discusses all the significant risks of the operation
and anaesthesia.
- It is written in bite-sized chunks, allowing patients
to personalise their use of it, and healthcare professionals
to direct them to specific areas.
Achieving higher standards
In April 2004, the regulation of the private sector will include
a new body - the Commission for Healthcare Audit and Inspection.
This will encompass all of the current and proposed work of
the Commission for Health Improvement (CHI), the Mental Health
Act Commission, the national NHS value for money work of the
Audit Commission, and the independent healthcare work of the
National Care Standards Commission.
Integrated Patient Information already meets the full requirements
of the Department of Health and best practice, so you will
not be required to do anything additional for this transition.

exceeds these regulations, please contact our sales team via
